Hello everyone.  I'm kinda new here.  Just wanted to say that I see all of the discussions going on,  but personally, i think that we should all just focus on trying to get the greatest group ever (DC Talk) back together again.  I know that they're all saying they want some time off to persue their own artistic abilities and talents, but unless something is done, i have my doubts of them ever getting back together.  Having all of their abilities and talents together in one group is what made them the best in the first place.

They're doing what's best for themselves individually. They can't leave all that just for the fans. They have to do it for themselves. They've made new paths and they've got people involved and they can't just drop that to make a dc Talk record because some fans keep begging them to. They have lives besides dc Talk. If God wants them to get back together, then they'll get back together when the time is right. Please, realize that these guys have got lives, and their getting back together doesn't revolve around the fans.

First, i'm not suggesting they break up their solo groups.  They could put out cd's as dc talk and still do their separate thing.  Other people have done it before. They could even tour together.   Imagine Toby Tait and Kevin performing separately with their groups, and then topping off the concert performing together!

Toby Mac said himself that going solo was not a good decision bussiness wise, but artistically it was.  However, couldn't they persue their own artistic abilities as dc talk.? They all wrote their own songs for their last few cd's. Having them together gives the music more spice which is what attracted everyone  to them in the first place.

Dc talk will always be more popular then any of them could get by themselves. Here is proof.  If you mentioned toby tait or Kevin to someone and they didn't recognize the name, you would say they were from dc talk and then the person might recognize who they are.  They would also be more popular together because their music would be more appealing to a wider range of people.  If someone didn't like rap, but liked hip hop and rock, they could still like dc talk.  Toby by himself might lose that person as a fan going solo though.

One more thing, dc talk's original reason for stopping was that they needed a break.  Well  starting solo groups was just going to be more work.  So i don't know about that reason.

So since bussiness wise going solo is not a good decision, if they could still persue their own artistic ablities as dctalk, and they could reach more pople as dctalk, this suggests to me that something is missing.  Who knows, maybe they are having problems with each other or individually.  I hope this isn't true because i love each member. They  each bring something special to the table.  But it is possible something is going on.   We should be praying for all of them.    Who knows, maybe God wants to use us fans to get them back together.

I'm open to other suggestions of what is going on or what can be done.  What do you all think?

Well actually, the first year that all their solo albums came out they did a concert in nashville where they did dctalk, then solos, then old school dctalk. it was great (even better than the supernatural tour with the w's and thats hard to beat)

Exactly.   Why can't they do that now?   That tour would be so awesome.

To be honest, i wish they would just announce whether they're getting back together or not. All they say is that it is the plan to get back together.  I would be fine if they just said, we're not getting back together for such and such a reason.  If they said i just want to produce my own cd's, i would be fine with that.  But i don't like the fact that they're leaving us hanging. 

When I heard that Tobymac's new single featured Dc Talk I laughed so hard!  I think that was a sort of hint that they want to make more music together but not just yet...Just hang in there!!!

me too, but I luv Toby as a solo artist, so I wouldn't mind terribly if they kept doing that for a couple more years...

yes dctalk has to get back together. I been a fan of DCtalk since I was born. Toby, Michael and kevins voices sound soooo awesome you guys are a true legend! Can't wait til your next CD comes out!

I really really like TobyMac's style at the moment.  I mean I love dc Talk but they kinda turned away from their hip hop/ rock thing, and that is what I loved about them!  Like in the middle of any kind of song there would be a line of rap, I loved it!  But by Supernatural they didn't do it anymore.  Atmosphere was like a blast into the past yet also the future.  I don't make much sense.  I really don't mind if they do solo stuff for awhile, sure it would be nice if they did another album, but it's not my choice.  

for the people who want them together good news  i went to a tait concert and i asked him if dc talk would get back together and he said yes someday!!!!!!!!!!!!! and tait was super nice!!!!

I voted I don't care, because I love them on their solo projects. I would be so upset if Tait didn't do another album on his own. His music has meant so much to me personally. Not that I wouldn't love them back together, but I just want Tait by himself!! lol But anyway, that's why I don't care.
