Josie Says. . .

I loved this album! Especially StorySide:B's version of In the Light. SSB's vocals and drums were amazing. I believe it to be the best song on the album. I did not care for Family Force Five's version of Mind's Eye. Their style is too out there for my liking. This was my least favorite song on the album. Overall, I think the album is a very good remake of the original and I highly recommend it. I wish SSB had done more than one song on the album.

I bought the " Freaked ! " cd and I thought that it was GREAT !!! It blew my socks off !!! There were a few songs that didn't quite ' sit well ' with me. I enjoyed the song " Jesus Freak " covered by 4th Avenue Jones, the best. 4 Ave.'s sound is a good match for the dcT J. Freak because they're also a rock/ hip hop sound compatible to Toby, Mike and Kevin's. Paul Wright and Ayiesha Woods also threw down a tight sound with their collaboration on " Between You & Me ". The least fav. tracks , in my opinion were " So Help Me God " by The Showdown and Chasing Victory's shot at " Jesus Freak ". The 2 songs were just too much yelling and not enough of actual singing. The majority of the record is filled with grinding Rock N' Roll guitars and modern rock bands.But all in all, if you're a dc Talk fan and liked the original " Jesus Freak " album - then by all means, buy yourself a second helping of 'Freak ! ' Because I am a huge dcT fan myself. Enjoy !
